Utilizing upcycled building materials made from cosmetics that are scheduled to be discarded

Japan L'Oréal, the Japanese subsidiary of the world's largest cosmetics company L'Oreal Group, and Tokyo Gas Real Estate have upcycled cosmetics that Japan L'Oreal plans to dispose of into building materials in order to contribute to the formation of a recycling economy society. However, it was recently announced that an agreement was reached to promote the use of this technology in buildings developed by Tokyo Gas Real Estate.

As the first step of the partnership, Tokyo Gas Real Estate will produce tile building materials using Japan L'Oréal's own cosmetics "822 pieces of powder foundation" that are scheduled to be discarded, and will be used as part of the building materials for the Kokubunji student dormitory developed by the company. About.

Tokyo Gas Real Estate will substantially regenerate the power used in the common areas of the Shinjuku Park Tower building owned by the Tokyo Gas Group as a specific initiative in the 2023-2025 medium-term management plan "Compass Transformation 23-25". We are working toward the realization of a decarbonized society on a building-by-building basis, such as by converting it into renewable energy and considering its introduction in tenant-dedicated areas.
