Satis Pharmaceutical develops 100 kinds of raw materials in a regional revitalization project

Satis Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., which develops cosmetics and manufactures OEM products, recently announced that it has reached 100 kinds of raw materials developed in the "Furusato Genki Project", a project that aims to contribute to regional revitalization. The number of annual shipments of cosmetics containing this raw material increased from 140,000 units in 2010 when FGP was launched to more than 27 million units in 2022. Many brands and users have agreed, and "the circle of sympathy and support is expanding year by year," according to the company's spokesperson.

FPG envisions a cycle in which consumers are interested not only in cosmetics, but also in the producers and regions beyond, by promoting the products of cosmetics manufacturers that support the project. In addition to selecting unused resources as raw materials for cosmetics, we are also devising ways to reduce the environmental burden, such as adopting methods that do not increase waste in the process of extracting ingredients from materials.

Shimane Tamatsukuri Onsen Machi Deco, which aims to revitalize the hot spring town and participates in the project, uses hot spring water in cosmetics. Through PR, the name recognition increased and new customers were acquired. In addition, Oita's Nanase Katsusui has become an opportunity to spread the local food culture to the younger generation by using local gardenias. Ehime Limone utilizes fruits that would otherwise be discarded due to thinning, and supports the business.

Going forward, we will continue our efforts to revitalize the region with the aim of passing on the sustainable cosmetics industry and Japan's valuable ingredients and culture. We will continue to recruit applicants for raw materials and product development.
