Naris Cosmetics promotes the use of unused resources

Naris Cosmetics has confirmed the effect of removing active oxygen, which is related to skin aging, from discarded rose thorns and stems at its own rose garden in Tome City, Miyagi Prefecture, and is promoting the utilization of unused resources. Since last year, it has been used in cosmetics as a skin-beautifying ingredient (rose spinal stem extract).

Hiroshi Ueda, the developer of the rose spinal stem extract and leader of the Basic Technology Research Group, says, ``When I saw the growth process of the roses that were carefully nurtured in the rose garden, I began to think about the effective use of parts other than the petals. I have been researching ,” and talks about the development process of upcycled raw materials.

In their own rose garden, they grow more than 10,000 roses, mainly 6 varieties (Lady Luck, Double Delight, Black Gold, Golden Heart, Shosetsu, and Caramel Antique) on a site of 10,000 tsubo.
