Daiyasu Co., Ltd. turns vegetable residue generated in the manufacturing process of pickles into cosmetic raw materials and jointly develops with Organic Mother Life Co., Ltd.

Daiyasu Co., Ltd. collaborated with Organic Mother Life Co., Ltd. to develop “fermented cosmetics” by upcycling some of the leftovers of vegetables such as turnips that are generated in the process of making senmaizuke and other pickles. We have developed our first sustainable cosmetics "SHiKI-". Detailed information will be sent from time to time for the release in May 2023.

The taste of the ingredients is of the utmost importance when making tsukemono at Daian, and only carefully selected domestic vegetables are used. Vegetable residue will inevitably come out because the work such as cutting off the hard part that remains in the vegetable is done. I searched for something that I could do as an effort for SDGs, such as improving the global environment and awareness of recycling, and arrived at the development of this cosmetics.

Organic Mother Life Co., Ltd. owns the COSMOS ORGANIC certified cosmetics factory "Botanical Blend Beauty Laboratory", which ferments these materials with lactic acid bacteria and extracts them at low temperatures with vegetable solvents to create raw materials and cosmetics. I did it carefully by hand.

"Fermented beauty essence" that can give both fermented water and fermented oil completes skin care with one.

In the Meiji era, "pickles" supported the health of busy women and their families.

Our activities and desire to support the active participation of women became the starting point for cosmetics that are completely plant-based and can be used by both men and women, children and babies.
