Cosmetics 100% of true natural origin

Lubanche, a cosmetics maker, has switched its labeling of raw materials to the international standard "Natural Derived Index" and has begun efforts to achieve 100% of all products. Eliminate all chemical ingredients with stricter standards than before and switch to natural ingredients. Natural cosmetics have become popular in recent years, but there are many products with ambiguous labeling. President Kazuhiro Senda emphasizes, "I want to raise a stir in the industry so that consumers can choose products based on accurate information." conforms to the standards of the International Organization for Standardization, and cannot be labeled as 100% if it contains even a small amount of chemical ingredients. The Japan Cosmetic Industry Association formulated a guideline based on this in 2018, but it is voluntary notation, and the natural ingredients that can be substituted are expensive and the procurement sources are limited, so it is hardly widespread. It is the first domestic manufacturer to achieve 100% for multiple products.

The Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices Law requires the labeling of all ingredients in cosmetics, but trace ingredients such as preservatives and stabilizers contained in raw materials are exempt. According to the manufacturer's own rules, even if the amount of surfactant containing some chemical ingredients is close to 20% of the product, it is said that it can be labeled as "100% naturally derived".

Lubanche was founded in 1990 by President Senda, who was a former researcher at a food research company. We have continued research and development under the philosophy of "cosmetics that are safe enough to eat." As he takes pride in contributing to the growth of the natural cosmetics market, he said, "I have been questioning the current situation where 'hidden ingredients' are recognized."

"Makeup cleansing" was renewed as the first 100% naturally derived index.

. Originally over 99%, petroleum-based surfactants were reconsidered as raw materials used as emulsifiers in the food industry.
