Asian cosmetics have a steady presence in the Japanese market

 According to the Japan Imported Cosmetics Association, South Korea's cosmetics imports for the January-September quarter of 2022 increased by 27.2% year-on-year to 57.57 billion yen, maintaining the top share by country at 23.5%.


In addition, China increased by 31.0% to 31.29 billion yen (12.8% share), and Taiwan increased by 36.5% to 2.53 billion yen (1.0% share).


As a result, the total share of the three countries increased by 2.3P from the previous year to 37.3%, and Asian cosmetics are steadily increasing their presence in the Japanese market.
