Using the latest technology to try out 8,000 types of cosmetics, a "makeup experience"

A state-of-the-art makeup simulator has appeared that allows you to try out the makeup that suits you over and over again without using cosmetics.

The store of Kose, a major cosmetics manufacturer, has a space that looks like a photography studio.

When you sit down, your eyes change from pink to yellow to purple in an instant.

This is a state-of-the-art makeup simulator that uses projection mapping technology to project images three-dimensionally.

Jointly developed by Kose and Tokyo Institute of Technology.

When it comes to trying out cosmetics, it was common for beauty staff to apply makeup directly to customers at department stores, but with this simulator, you can try out shades without using cosmetics.

Kose Beauty Consultant Kumiko Goto "You can try over 8,000 types of makeup instantly without the hassle of actually removing and applying makeup, which leads to the discovery of new makeup."

You can experiment with eyeshadow, cheeks, and lips to find the color that suits you best.

There are also functions unique to projection mapping.

By mapping directly onto the face, makeup can be seen from various angles even when the face is moved.

Since the video follows along with the movement of the face and changes in facial expressions, you can check the state of makeup from the side.
