Trifalotene 0.005% cream is effective for pediatric acne
It is important for clinicians who provide care for acne vulgaris, which is common in children and young adults, to develop an action plan to assess and manage acne in routine practice. This study examined the efficacy, safety, and tolerability of triphalotene 0.005% cream in a post-hoc analysis of subjects aged 12 to 17 years in two large phase 3 pivotal trials.
As a result, triphalotene was effective on both the face and trunk of pediatric patients with moderate acne and was well tolerated. The incidence of adverse events was low and acceptable and well tolerated. Once-daily triphalotene monotherapy was associated with good clinical efficacy, safety, and tolerability. Low concentrations of triphalotene were suitable for use in large skin areas such as the trunk.
