Higuchi Shokai proposes a wide variety of up-cycle raw materials

The cosmetic raw materials imported and sold by Higuchi Shokai are characterized by their high effectiveness and abundant data, and they utilize the experience and knowledge that the company has cultivated in the pharmaceutical industry for about 70 years. Currently, we are strongly launching upcycling raw materials.

JADE ALGA developed by ODYCEA (Odesia), which is based in Brittany, France, is an up-cycle raw material using sea lettuce. Sea lettuce proliferates due to the effects of pesticide outflow to the ocean and global warming, and has become an environmental problem at the seaside in Brittany, and is collected and disposed of at the expense of the government every year. ODYCEA focused on the shape memory function of the disposed sea lettuce and succeeded in applying this function to cosmetic raw materials.

JADE ALGA has the function of keeping the keratin in a precise shape by the soft peeling effect and the effect of promoting the production of keratin constituent proteins, and won the bronze award in the environmental category of last year's CITE JAPAN Awards.

PINK NECTAR, released by the company in June last year, is an up-cycle raw material extracted from the flowers of heather, which has been used as a folk medicine for a long time.

Heather flowers take 3 years from budding to grow to a size that can be sold, and are pruned after the flowering period of 1 year to prepare for the next year. PINK NECTAR is a product in which the pruned flowers are collected and the extract is extracted without disposing of them. It is a raw material that stimulates the expression of 28 genes that play an important role in maintaining skin homeostasis, imparting short-term and long-term moisturizing effects, restoring skin barrier function, and promoting turnover.

The company is also developing an up-cycle raw material called FLORAL G WATER. The raw material is labeled as Darth Extract and is an extract that can be used as a substitute for water. It is manufactured by trapping the emitted steam in the drying process before extracting the red algae extract.

In addition, GREENTECH, which manufactures and sells a total of 5,000 types of plant extracts, is also attracting attention. Not only up-cycle raw materials, but also products that are in line with overseas research trends are quickly incorporated. We are developing a wide variety of raw materials such as raw materials targeting zombie cells, skin / scalp microbiota adjusting raw materials, circadian rhythm adjusting raw materials, sustainable raw materials, and plant-derived surfactants.
