Shinnihonseiyaku applies "guanine crystal" born from biomimetics to cosmetics and obtains a patent

Shinnihonseiyaku Co., Ltd. (CEO: Takahiro Goto) is inspired by the habit of fish manipulating light and assimilating into the surrounding environment, and applies the technology of applying "guanine crystals" born from biomimetics to cosmetics at Hiroshima University and Yamaguchi University. Developed through joint research with. By dispersing "guanine crystals" that are present in fish scales and diffusely reflect light to a particle size of 5 mm or less and adding them to cosmetics, you can expect the effect of covering cosmetic stains and dullness and the effect of skin tone up.

What is "guanine crystal"?

It is a crystallized substance of "guanine," which is one of the DNA constituent bases of all living things on the earth. Although it is a transparent substance that does not have a pigment, it has the characteristic of refracting light due to the laminated structure of crystals and exhibiting various colors. It is present in the liver of mammals, scales and skins of fish, and it is said that fish scales are one of the factors that diffusely reflect light. The particle size of "guanine crystals" present in fish scales and skins is basically 20 mm, but in order to efficiently bring out the features of "guanine crystals", we have processed the particles to a particle size of 5 mm or less. We will apply it to cosmetics.
