Kose promotes research to capture mental and physical conditions from the action of hormones

Kose has started full-scale joint research with Professor Yasue Mitsukura, Department of System Design Engineering, Faculty of Science and Technology, Keio University, and a member of the Graduate School of Medicine. Advance research to capture the state. By combining this initiative with the knowledge that the company has cultivated over many years, it will lead to new beauty proposals and product development.

The company has focused on "electroencephalogram" as a means to more accurately quantify changes in the mind caused by cosmetics, and has continued to work with Professor Mitsukura, who is a leading expert in electroencephalogram signal analysis. So far, we have succeeded in quantifying the psychological effects of "comfortable" and "fun to make up" from brain wave analysis when applying foundation.

Under these circumstances, in Professor Mitsukura's research, it is becoming clear that the changes in the mind that appear as "brain waves" are greatly influenced by "hormones," so we have focused on the relationship between "cosmetology" and "hormones."

This time, in order to pursue "the effects of beauty on the skin, mind, and body" in earnest, we started joint research with Professor Mitsukura in earnest to capture changes in both "brain waves" and "hormones" and make new ones. We will clarify the power and potential of beauty. Through this, we aim to promote research that is close to "individuals" and "lifetime" and to provide unique value based on the life cycle.

Since its founding, the company has focused on the fact that beauty works not only on the skin but also on the mind, and has been developing products and making beauty proposals that are particular about the scent and feel of cosmetics.

Currently, from the perspective of respect for diversity and genderlessness, which has been increasing in recent years, we aim to provide value that is closer to a wider range of people regardless of age or gender, and while focusing on cosmetics, we are expanding the field to beauty. We will aim to expand our business domain and add value, such as by considering the field of "well-being" related to health.
