FANCL recycles used cosmetic containers into flower pots and donates them

 FANCL has been implementing the "FANCL Recycling Program" at 9 directly managed stores since July 2021. About 17,000 used cosmetic PET containers are collected and made into 1400 flower pots by material recycling, and flowers and greenery are used. Donated to the leading project "Garden Necklace Yokohama" aiming to realize Yokohama, an environmentally advanced city full of recycling.

Initially, the holding period was set to March 31, and the planned number of collections was 10,000, but the number of collections greatly exceeded, and many requests were received regarding the continuation of the program and the expansion of target stores. Therefore, the number of stores will be expanded and will continue after April 1st.

From April 1st, it will be implemented at all stores in Tokyo and Kanagawa prefectures and at the Kyoto Daimaru store, which has been held for a total of 61 stores. The target collection items and gifts are the same as before, 21 items will be collected, and customers who bring empty containers to the store will be presented with seed paper designed with mild cleansing oil.

In addition, the collected containers will be recycled into flower pots using material recycling technology, and will continue to be donated to Yokohama City to contribute to the creation of an environment-friendly city with a lot of greenery.
