Daido Kasei Kogyo Co., Ltd. uses plant-derived esters as raw materials for film-forming agents

Daido Kasei Kogyo uses plant-derived esters as raw materials for the acrylic emulsion "Vinizol," which is being developed as a film-forming agent for cosmetics. Two items, Acrylate / Vinyl Acetate Copolymer "2140L-B" with 20% biomass and Acrylate Copolymer Ammonium "1087FT-B" with 33% biomass, are being evaluated by domestic manufacturers. Both maintain the same physical characteristics as those derived from petroleum. Once launched, it will be the first plant-derived acrylic film-forming agent for at least domestic cosmetics. In 2022, we aim to achieve results in Japan and expand to Europe, which is highly environmentally conscious.
