Focus on "Endo 180"! Maruzen Pharmaceuticals

Endo180 is a membrane protein present in skin fibroblasts and is one of the collagen receptors.

Collagen fragmented and degenerated due to damage such as ultraviolet rays is collected in fibroblasts so that it does not accumulate in the extracellular matrix inside the skin, and is involved in the collagen remodeling process. It plays an important role in "regeneration".

Maruzen Pharmaceuticals has confirmed that Endo180 is reduced by the influence of UVB, and that the reduction of Endo180 is one of the major causes of "photoaging", which is a skin aging phenomenon caused by ultraviolet rays. We have promoted basic research on thinking and its detailed role in the living body, and have repeatedly reported at academic conferences and peer-reviewed journals.

In addition, Maruzen Pharmaceuticals has found that lemon balm extract and its active ingredient, rosmarinic acid, have the effect of promoting the production of Endo180, and based on this knowledge, we sell the cosmetic ingredient "Lemon balm extract RA" and the food ingredient "Lemon balm extract powder." It is applied to the product design of "MF".

Lemon balm

In addition, some of the lemon balm used to manufacture "Lemon Balm Extract RA" is cultivated at our own farm "Kui Farm".

At Kui Farm, we have established a "recycling farming method" in which new useful plants are cultivated by recycling the "residues" discharged from the production of naturally derived ingredients as fertilizer without incinerating them.

By using plants cultivated by farming methods aimed at reducing the environmental burden, "sustainability" in terms of both the effectiveness of this product (= continuous regeneration of collagen) and the manufacturing method (= sustainable plant cultivation by recycling residues) Is embodied.
