ALBION jointly develops cosmetic ingredient "isobutyl oleate"

ALBION has jointly developed with NOF Corporation the world's first "isobutyl oleate" as a raw material for cosmetics. This ingredient is said to have an excellent penetrating effect, and is included in the company's finest cream "Ex Viginza Specia" (40g, 93,500 yen) ), which went on sale on October 18.

The company is conducting a wide range of research and development, including raw materials such as plants and sustainable packaging, in order to realize the dream of becoming the world's number one luxury cosmetics manufacturer.

Above all, in order to maximize the power of plants and utilize them in product manufacturing, we are advancing research and development on cultivation methods and extraction technologies at our own Shirakami Research Institute every day.

In particular, the development of technology to effectively deliver beauty ingredients extracted from plants cultivated in-house and carefully selected from all over the world to the skin is positioned as one of the strengthening points along with the research and development of raw materials. As part of this, since 2016, we have been conducting research on ingredients that have a penetration-promoting effect in collaboration with NOF.

In research, while producing oleic acid-based derivatives with five similar structures and proceeding with research and development, it was discovered that "isobutyl oleate" has a high penetration promoting effect on impervious components, making it the world's first cosmetic raw material. Succeeded in the development of "isobutyl oleate".

The results of this research were announced at the international academic conference of the Federation of International Cosmetic Engineers (IFSCC) held in Milan, Italy in 2019.
