The "Lion Forest of Yamanashi" activity has been carried out in the city-owned forest in the Minakuchi district of Yamanashi City since the first phase in 2006. Aiming to further enhance the activities, from the 4th term in 2021, the place of activity was moved to a municipal forest of about 2784 m2 in the Makioka district, and four parties such as Yamanashi City have jointly carried out forest maintenance activities.


This time, the activity area has been further expanded by about 10 times to 29,671 square meters (about 2.96 ha), and the 5th forest maintenance agreement has been signed. We will continue to focus on not only forest maintenance activities but also environmental education, and work as a place for experiences and exchanges with a wider range of people, including local residents.
