Shiseido expands brand development in India

 Shiseido will launch its global makeup brand NARS Cosmetics (NARS) in India.


In recent years, India's economy has continued to grow, and as demand for global prestige brands has increased, we will strengthen our portfolio of skin beauty brands in the prestige area and accelerate growth in Asia Pacific.

In developing NARS this time, through Shiseido Asia Pacific, Global SS Beauty Brands Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Shoppers Stop Limited, which operates premium and luxury large-scale department stores and retail stores in India. In January 2023, we signed a global strategic partnership with SS Beauty Brands.

Since entering the market in 2001, in addition to the Indian brand SHISEIDO and fragrance brands, we have introduced NARS, which has a strong global presence, into our brand portfolio to meet diversifying customer needs. We aim to further improve our presence by utilizing Shoppers Stop Limited's cosmetics sales know-how and network in the prestige and department store markets.
