Shiseido adopts LiquiForm in cosmetics for the first time in the world

Shiseido is the first company in the world to adopt LiquiForm, a technology that realizes "bottle manufacturing" and "content filling" in one step, for cosmetics, and has developed a cosmetic refill container that contributes to reducing environmental impact.

"LiquiForm" is a new container technology developed mainly by AMCOR. Yoshino Kogyosho, which put this technology into practical use, and Shiseido jointly developed a cosmetic container.

In this development, Yoshino Kogyosho's knowledge of cosmetic container manufacturing and Shiseido's knowledge of cosmetics manufacturing, such as product quality assurance, design and specifications, were utilized to apply LiquiForm to cosmetic containers.

Cosmetics refill containers that utilize LiquiForm can reduce the amount of plastic used per container by approximately 70%. ), reducing CO2 emissions by about 70%.

LiquiForm's technology does not fill pre-formed empty bottles with contents like conventional refillable containers. A technology that fills the contents and molds the bottle at the same time.

This eliminates the need to transport empty bottles, which used to be transported from the container factory to the filling factory, and eliminates concerns about damage and deformation during transportation.

Because the refill container can be designed to be thin, it not only reduces the amount of plastic used in the container itself, but also expands the range of design options for the container as a whole. container can be realized.

This time, the replacement container developed with Yoshino Kogyosho was designed so that the main container can be used repeatedly because it can be removed from the main container after using the contents and replaced with a new container.
