“Halal cosmetics are not just for Muslim women”

 The “halal cosmetics” market is expanding year by year. According to Fortune Business Insights, the market, which was US$212 billion in 2020, is expected to reach US$773.4 billion by 2028. The average annual growth rate is 12.75%. Among halal products, cosmetics have the highest growth rate.


Halal products are those that are manufactured and permitted to be used according to Islamic law. Young Muslims (Muslims) with purchasing power support the growth of Halal cosmetics. And he is non-Muslim.

Halal cosmetics are cosmetics that are manufactured with ingredients that are permitted under Islamic principles. Do not use animal products such as blood, pigs, human parts, carnivores, reptiles, insects, or alcohol as raw materials. Therefore, materials are inevitably limited to plant-based materials.


In addition, the entire process, from raw material procurement, manufacturing processes, storage, distribution, and logistics, must be halal-compliant. Consider the treatment of workers and ensure that there is no environmental pollution caused by product packaging. Animal testing is also prohibited. In other words, the production process must be ethical.

Another group that prefers halal cosmetics is non-Muslims.
