New release of METASHINE Aurora series of glitter materials for point makeup cosmetics/Nippon Sheet Glass Co., Ltd.

The Aurora series is a glass pigment that maintains the clear and strong brilliance unique to glass, while at the same time having the characteristic of shining on the surface. Achieving an elegant glow like an aurora, it offers a new option for point makeup formulations.

METASHINE is a lustrous inorganic pigment made by coating a flake-shaped glass base material with metal or metal oxide using NSG's proprietary technology. Due to the smooth surface of the base material, it has been used in many point make-up products that produce gorgeous brilliance as a pigment that can express a high brightness feeling by reflecting strong light.

The new Aurora series uses a thinner sheet glass than the previous METASHINE series to create an elegant sparkle and luster with the perfect balance of brilliance and graininess.

The NSG Group has developed glass flakes with a unique composition (100% naturally-derived index*) by carefully selecting low-alkali, low-heavy-metal, and boron-free raw materials with the aim of creating cosmetic materials that are gentle on the skin and the environment. METASHINE brand products, including the Aurora series, are manufactured using glass flakes that contain few impurities and are free from turbidity and dullness. It is a product that can be widely used in the field of point makeup as a brightening material that supports the development of environmentally friendly products in the cosmetics industry these days.
