Momotani Juntenkan Okayama Factory acquires international standard "ISO22716" certification for cosmetics

 Cosmetics manufacturer Momotani Juntenkan announced on November 15 that it has acquired "ISO22716" certification, an international standard for the quality and safety of cosmetics manufacturing, at its Okayama factory, which is the manufacturing base of the company.

The factory acquired "ISO9001" certification in 2000, and in addition to the "ISO22716" certification acquired this time, the company "from receiving raw materials to manufacturing and shipping, world-class manufacturing control and quality control. The system was approved. "

In addition, the factory has been actively engaged in 3R activities for 10 years as an environmental activity, and as of 2020, almost 100% of the waste and sludge from the factory, 3R (emission control, reuse, recycling) It was realized.

Bottles are recycled into glass raw materials, plastics are recycled into solid fuels, and waste liquids are recycled into cement fuels and raw materials. The sludge produced by wastewater treatment is converted into compost. Lavender is also cultivated on the factory premises using the compost.

In addition, we have registered with the "Okayama Plastic 3R Declaration Office", which declares the 3Rs of plastics, with the aim of promoting efforts to reduce plastic waste in Okayama Prefecture, where the factory is located, and are proceeding with initiatives related to the SDGs.
