Vitamin C60 bioresearch, plant-derived fullerenes perform well

Vitamin C60 Bioresearch, which aims to contribute to the realization of a sustainable society through its business and realize its own sustainable growth, will be developed by the company in February of this year with the renewal of the raw material for penetrating liposomes, "moist fullerene". All 6 fullerene ingredients have been switched to plant-derived fullerenes.

Plant-derived fulleren is made from natural cedar obtained from FSC-certified forests in Miyazaki prefecture, which has the highest production of cedar logs in Japan. A company certified as a legal timber supplier under the Clean Wood Act (Act on Promotion of Distribution and Utilization of Legally Logging Timber, etc.) strips the bark and processes it into pellets.

Furthermore, in the process of carbonizing pellets and processing them into fullerenes (carbon rods), clean energy from hydroelectric power generation is used.

Plant-derived fullerenes are environmentally friendly not only in the manufacturing process but also in containers, and by adopting a new aluminum pouch with a cap, the amount of waste has been reduced by about 90%.

"Plant-derived fullerenes contribute to the achievement of the five goals (7/12/13/15/17) set forth in the SDGs. Among the plant-derived fullerenes, 100% plant-derived" Demand for "Lipofullerene N" is increasing due to the corona sickness. Increasing the time spent at home increases the time to face oneself, and there is a tendency for more natural and environmentally friendly products to be preferred, which is also 100% plant-derived. Inquiries about "Moist Fullerene N" are increasing. "(President Gentaro Hayashi)

The company is currently using a 2-aza-8-oxohypoxanthine (AOH) product called a fairy compound, which has been confirmed to be effective in activating epidermal cells and increasing the water content of the stratum corneum as a new cosmetic ingredient next to fullerenes. We are proceeding with the conversion, and we plan to start selling this year.

"This AOH has been developed through joint research with Shizuoka University. It is a substance that has been confirmed to be highly effective and safe on the skin. It is a new ingredient that is rare even recently as a cosmetic ingredient, and it is a new substance called fullerene. It will be a new challenge unique to our company that has succeeded in making it into a raw material and has spread to the market. AOH, which is contained in trace amounts in many foods such as rice and mushrooms, is introduced to everyone as a safe, secure and highly effective cosmetic raw material.
